Programme learning outcomes
PRN1. Communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the state and Slovenian and English languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication.
PRN2. Work effectively with Slavonic information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize.
PRN3. Organize the process of their education and self-education in the field of Slavic studies.
PRN4. Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, society.
PRN5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc.

Examination regulations and grading scale
Semester control of knowledge is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including assessment of theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes; communication; autonomy and responsibility, which is 60% of the total score. Forms of semester assessment: answers to seminars, compiling a bibliography on the topic, abstracts, oral and written analysis of literary texts, presentations, translation, essays, reviews, annotations, modular tests. Forms of final control: control test tasks, tests, differentiated tests, written and oral exams, defense of term paper, defense of bachelor's thesis, complex final exams.
The principles of integrity are observed during the assessment and examination: to adhere to ethical norms and principles of academic activity, to be honest and objective in assessing the knowledge and achievements of students.
Оbligatory or optional mobility windows (if applicable)
OP students participate in academic mobility programs. There is a "Cooperation Agreement between the Taras Shevchenko National University and the University of Ljubljana" (2010), which in particular provides for scholarships for students at the University of Ljubljana. Students and teachers have the opportunity to participate in credit mobility programs of the international Erasmus + program with the participation of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and universities of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of Croatia, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Slovenia and others. within the signed agreements.
Work placement
Applicants undergo professional and industrial practice with a break from training (8 credits). Professional and industrial practice takes place on the basis of the Center for Slavic Studies and the Psychological Service of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Practitioners are specialists in the humanities (researchers, translators, literary critics), who share their professional experience with students, involve them in joint projects: international conferences, preparation of translation publications, volunteer projects. Thus, professional and production practice as an integral element of OP provides training for applicants to perform professional duties (FC6, FC7, FC8, FC9).
