PRN2: Work effectively with Slavonic information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize. PRN3: Organize the process of their training and self-education in the field of Slavic studies. PRN5: Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PRN13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and Slovenian fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Ability to operate with historical and historiographical material that meets the requirements of the school curriculum; knowledge of geographical characteristics of European countries and their natural and climatic features; knowledge of Ukrainian folklore within the school curriculum.
Course content
The purpose of ND is to form students' complex basic knowledge of history, culture, social, economic and climatic features, as well as Slovenian folklore, to master the essence of the processes that took place in the past, awareness of the relationship and interdependence of historical and state-building phenomena. The course is mandatory and is taught in the first semester. The course is aimed at studying the main stages of historical development of Slovenia, gives an idea of national ethnographic phenomena, covers the main aspects of social and political life of the country, acquaints with the political and state system, national symbols, folklore of Slovenia. The course provides two content modules. The discipline ends with an exam.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides 2 semantic parts. The first part of the course is devoted to the history of Slovenia from ancient times to the 20th century. The second part of the course focuses on the history of Slovenia in the 20th - early 21st centuries, the current state of Slovenian culture and acquaintance with Slovenian folklore. Classes are held in the form of lectures, seminars, using interactive teaching methods. During the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, seminars are held, which are evaluated in accordance with the types of work and forms of control. The discipline ends with an exam. The presentation of the material is carried out using the following teaching methods: lecture, illustration, video viewing of the material, work with the book.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final grade (exam). Admission to the exam implies the successful completion of tasks by the student and work throughout the semester. Thus, the final grade in the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) and the final grade - the exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
