- the main stages of formation of literary thought from antiquity to the present;
- basic and auxiliary literary disciplines;
- theoretical and literary works of leading scientists of Ukraine and the world;
- the specifics of literature as the art of the word;
- principles and methods of analysis of the work of art;
- structure and elements of internal and external form of a work of art;
- genre and generic features of literary
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to systematize and comprehend students' knowledge of literary studies, master the skills of analysis of a literary work, free operation of professional terminology, basic literary categories and concepts, focusing on the semantic load of the work. Hence - enriching students' understanding of the functions and specifics of the art of speech in the broad context of the development of literary, aesthetic thought from ancient times to the present.
