Learning outcomes
PRN10 Know the norms of the Slovenian literary language and be able to apply them in practice. PRN 11 Know the principles, technologies and techniques of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the state and Slovenian and English languages. PRN12 Analyze the units of Slovenian and English, determine their interaction and characterize the linguistic phenomena and processes that determine them. PRN14 Use Slovenian and English, orally and in writing, in different genres and styles and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative problems in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PRN16 Know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of Slovenian linguistics and literary criticism, be able to apply them in professional activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the general structure of the modern Ukrainian language; units of phonetic, lexical, morphological, syntactic levels of the Ukrainian language; possession of basic skills of work with educational and methodical manuals, search of the information in the sources recommended for processing. Successfully mastered the communicative course of the modern Slovenian language.
Course content
ND "Functional aspect of the Slovenian language" is a logical continuation of the first semester "Communicative aspect of the Slovenian language", so its purpose is to continue to acquaint students with the basic grammatical and lexical base of the Slovenian language, which lays the foundation for further study. The main tasks are to highlight the basics of normative grammar of the Slovenian language and students' mastery of thematic lexical and communicative cycles. Students will study the rules of Slovenian literary pronunciation, the basics of spelling, the rules of Slovenian word change (noun, adjective, pronoun, numerator, verb), the main features of the syntactic structure of the Slovenian language, vocabulary of the most common thematic fields, develop communication skills in typical communicative situations

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Conversation, story, explanation, discussion, demonstration, exercises, case method, information-illustrative method, method of observation, method of analysis, partial search method, methods of stimulation and motivation of educational and cognitive activities, video review of materials, methods of control and self-control ( oral examination, written control, test tasks, writing texts on various topics, dictation, individual reading).
Assessment methods and criteria
The final number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final grade (exam). Admission to the exam implies the successful completion of tasks by the student and work throughout the semester. Thus, the final grade in the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) and the final grade - the exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
