To obtain the qualification «Higher School Teacher»: mastering the disciplines of pedagogical and psychological block; passing Teaching practice and the Exit Exam (≥75 points). In addition the qualifications “interpreter’ or “junior researcher” may be awarded.
Programme learning outcomes
PLO 1. To evaluate one’s own academic and professional activities, and to develop and implement an effective strategy for self-development and professional improvement. PLO 2. Be proficient in the national and foreign languages for written and oral communication, particularly in professional and academic contexts; present research findings in the national and foreign languages. PLO 3. Apply modern methodologies and technologies, particularly information technologies, for the successful and effective performance of professional activities and to ensure the quality of research in the field of Persian philology. PLO 4. Assess and critically analyse socially, personally and professionally significant issues and propose solutions to them in complex and unpredictable conditions, which requires the application of new approaches and forecasting. PLO 5. Identify optimal ways of effective interaction within a professional team and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels. PLO 6. Apply knowledge of the expressive, emotional and logical features of language and speech techniques to achieve a planned pragmatic outcome and facilitate successful communication. PLO 7. Analyse, compare and classify different trends and schools of thought in linguistics. PLO 8. Evaluate the historical heritage and recent achievements of literary studies. PLO 9. Describe the theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, key terms, etc.) and applied aspects of Persian philology. PLO 10. Collect and systematise linguistic, literary and folkloric data; interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialisation). Examination regulations and grading scale
The final semester control of knowledge is carried out in the form of a test or exam. The form of semester control, the content and structure of examination tickets, evaluation criteria are specified in the work program of the discipline and are brought to the attention of students in the first classes. Rating scale (in points): 90-100 – Excellent; 75-89 – Good; 60-74 – Satisfactory; 0-59 – Unsatisfactory; 60-100 – Passed; 0-59 – Failed. Students must adhere to the rules of academic integrity in education: the principles of honesty, trust, justice, respect, responsibility; uphold the values of academic integrity and adhere to its rules in all activities in the university space and beyond.

Work placement
Work Placement (Teaching) practice is a compulsory component. The bases of the practice are the Center for Iranian Studies (Persian), the Department of Methods of Teaching Ukrainian and Foreign Languages and Literatures (English) of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Translation and research practices are selective components. The bases of the practices are the Center for Iranian Studies and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ukraine. The Internship is based on a bilateral agreement between Taras Shevchenko National University and Tehran University dated December 12, 2013. Students' participation is determined on the basis of their rating success.

Masters of Arts in Philology with proficiency in Persian and English can work in the academic, literary and publishing, and educational sectors; in teaching, research and administrative roles at higher education institutions; in print and electronic media, internet marketing, PR agencies, various humanitarian-oriented funds, associations and foundations, museums, libraries and archives, arts and cultural centres, etc. Furthermore, knowledge of Persian and English enables graduates with a Master’s degree in Philology to find employment in a wide variety of economic sectors where services involving the creation, analysis, translation and evaluation of texts in these languages are required, as well as in travel agencies, international organisations, foreign missions, diplomatic and consular services, regional representative offices, etc.

They are entitled to continue their studies at the third level of higher education, as well as to acquire additional qualifications within the postgraduate education system.
