Prerequisites and co-requisites
The exam tests the professional competence of the master in the following areas:
Language and communication: mastery of scientific terminology, business etiquette, grammatical constructions and stylistics of the Persian language in academic and political discourse.
Translation studies: knowledge of the theory and methodology of translation; ability to apply transformations, overcome terminological difficulties and work with lexicographic sources. Skills in creating artistic, contract and business translations.
Literary studies: analysis of the Iranian literary process, knowledge of the work of modern authors (including the diaspora) and the features of the artistic style. Understanding the history of European and Ukrainian traditions of translating Persian literature.
Pedagogy: knowledge of the theoretical foundations of teaching oriental languages in higher education, ability to work with educational documentation and methods for forming language competencies.
Course content
The content of the Program consists of the topics and theoretical questions of the programs of academic disciplines included in the ONP "Eastern Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Persian Language and Literature". The exam is comprehensive, it includes material from linguistics, literary studies and translation studies, as well as methods of teaching Persian in higher education.
