Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students have to know the lexical and grammatical peculiarities of the Persian language, the literature of Iran, the theory and practice of translation from the Persian language and the methodology of its teaching. and methodical nature; • to be able to work with educational and scientific information in the field of Iranian studies, to process it, to make generalizations and conclusions regarding linguistic, translational and methodological features; • to рossess basic skills of actualization, systematization, deepening of scientific research; comparative analysis, description and assessment for formulating generalizations and substantiating conclusions.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to write and defend a qualifying (research) master’s thesis; to develop the skills of scientific and research work and to establish the actual compliance of the graduate’s level of educational and qualification training with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty 035 "Philology" (035.067 "Oriental languages and literatures (translation included), the first one is Persian") under the EP "Oriental philology, Western European language and translation: Persian language and literature".

Work with sources, consultation of a scientific supervisor, writing a qualification (master's) thesis.
Assessment methods and criteria
The grade for writing a master's degree qualification thesis consists of three components: 1) the grade of the scientific supervisor, who fills out the scientific supervisor's feedback form in accordance with the evaluation criteria; 2) the grade of the reviewer, who fills out the review form in accordance with the evaluation criteria; 3) the grade for defending the qualification thesis, which is set by the attestation committee and entered into the final evaluation sheet, which also contains the overall grade as an arithmetic whole of the three components (up to 100 points max.).
