Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Evaluate one's own educational and scientific and professional activities, build and implement an effective strategy for self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 2. Prerequisites and co-requisites
The graduate must have a C1 level of English, be familiar with modern linguistic paradigms and communication models. It is important to be able to apply persuasion strategies, use the rhetorical potential of language, and conduct a comprehensive analysis of texts at different levels. The ability to perform adequate translation and operate freely with terminology to achieve the goal of communication is mandatory.
Course content
The purpose of the comprehensive qualification exam in English and translation is to verify and evaluate the program learning outcomes, in particular the scientific, theoretical and professional training of students, as well as the level of their professional competence in the following areas: theoretical foundations of philological knowledge in modern English studies (lexicology, stylistics, grammar, communication theory, rhetoric, text and discourse theory); translation theory, basic methods of translation analysis, types of translation correspondences and lexical and grammatical techniques in translation.

Assessment methods and criteria
The level of preparation of masters in the exam is assessed according to a 100-point system: a graduate can score a maximum of 100 points and a minimum positive number of points - 60. The score for the comprehensive final exam is formed by calculating the arithmetic average score for all three answers on the exam ticket, multiplied by 10 (coefficient). The score is discussed by the members of the EC and put to a vote. The score in favor of the student must be approved by the majority of the commission members. The score is announced on the day of the exam. The student has the right to disagree with the score and file an appeal in accordance with the approved rules.
