The program is based on the fundamental geological knowledge of students obtained in bachelor's degree programs in Earth Sciences or related.
Qualification requirements and regulations, including graduation requirements
Necessary conditions for fulfilling the minimum necessary criteria for this: the average score of learning outcomes (diploma supplement), grade for research practice, qualifying exam and defense of master's thesis at least 75 points (on the 100th scale).
Programme learning outcomes
Analyze the development and structure of geological systems and the formation of mineral deposits. Identify and solve problematic issues and make informed decisions in geology. Be able to communicate with specialists and experts of different levels of other fields of knowledge. Develop, manage and manage projects focused on the study of geological and natural-man-made systems. Plan and carry out scientific experiments, write scientific papers in the specialty. Be able to carry out geological and economic assessment of mineral deposits, create models of geological environment and provide geological conclusions. Know modern methods of research of the geological environment and be able to apply them in production and research activities. Know the basic principles of management of enterprises in the field of nature management. Develop and implement mechanisms for territorial management, geoplanning and regional monitoring. Demonstrate the ability to adapt to work in the specialty, the ability to generate new ideas in the geological field. Model geological objects and processes using cartographic and mathematical methods and geoinformation technologies. Identify and classify known and register new objects in the earth's crust.
