To know and be able to: physical and mathematical foundations of basic geophysical methods, approaches to solving direct and inverse problems of geophysics, basic principles of qualitative and quantitative interpretation of geophysical data. principles of modeling the geological environment. modern computer programs for methodological processing and interpretation of geophysical information. modern computer programs for complex interpretation of geophysical information. perform qualitative and quantitative interpretation of experimental geophysical data.

Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of mathematics, physics and geophysical research methods.
Course content
The program of the discipline focuses on the geological interpretation of gravitational and magnetic anomalies, qualitative and quantitative interpretation of gravimagnetic data, geological interpretation and interpretation of electrical intelligence data, geological analysis of seismometry data, principles of geophysical research data processing wells (GDS) and complex interpretation of GDS diagrams.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and provides: performance of 5 practical works (where students have to demonstrate the quality of the acquired knowledge and solve the tasks using the outlined ones teacher methods and tools), performing 5 independent works (where students have demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems without limiting tools and techniques for solving the problem), and conducting 2 written modular tests. The final evaluation is carried out in the form written exam.
