Learning outcomes
Know: Basic principles of state mineral and raw materials policy regarding SME of Ukraine; concept of critical minerals; concept of strategic minerals; factors and criteria of investment attractiveness of SME objects of Ukraine; assessment of investment attractiveness of SME objects of Ukraine. Be able to: To determine the main principles of the state mineral and raw materials policy regarding the SME of Ukraine; to identify and analyze the issues of strategic minerals of Ukraine; to be able to pro-vide an expert assessment of the SME objects of metallic and non-metallic minerals of Ukraine; to iden-tify and propose mechanisms and directions for the development of the SME of Ukraine
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: the main modern provisions of fundamental sciences regarding the origin, development and structure of the Universe; modern methods of studying the Earth and its geospheres. Be able to: communicate with specialists and experts of various levels in other fields of knowledge, including in the international context, in the global information environment; identify, pose, and solve scientific problems.
Course content
The discipline is included in the list of mandatory disciplines. It provides professional development of higher education seekers and is aimed at forming in-depth ideas and knowledge about strategic mineral deposits of Ukraine, their main characteristics and their investment attractiveness. Modern problems of the mining complex of Ukraine in the global context are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the analy-sis and assessment of the role and significance of deposits of certain types of minerals of Ukraine in the general structure of the mining complex, the forecast of possible ways of development of the SME of Ukraine. The training of higher education seekers within the framework of this discipline contains theo-retical issues aimed primarily at the formation of a geological worldview, provides future specialists with an important tool for geological and economic analysis of the SME objects of Ukraine. The aca-demic discipline is the basis of geological and economic analysis and forecasting and metallogenic re-search of the mineral and raw material base of Ukraine, which determines its important practical signifi-cance.

Assessment methods and criteria
Control is carried out according to the modular rating system and involves the completion of tasks of independent and practical work (where students must demonstrate the quality of the acquired knowledge and solve the assigned tasks using the methods and means outlined by the teacher) and ongoing control throughout the semester. The final assessment is carried out in the form of an exam (test).
