Learning outcomes
To know principles and rules of organization of scientific research, approaches to the development of methodology of international political research
implementation of intellectual property rights, domestic and international experience
To be able
use the skills of scientific research to solve practical scientific problems
be aware of the multilevel methodology of science, the diversity of methodologies,
understand the norms of scientific research as methodological principles; use the requirements for scientific theory as general scientific methodological principles
To obtain basic communication skills
ability to participate in interdisciplinary projects of integrated research
show attention and tolerance to other thoughts in the process of intellectual communication
Autonomy and responsibility
find the necessary information from various sources, make informed decisions; have an intellectual conscience, honesty in the formation and expression of intellectual position
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
knowledge of the basics of science, basic principles and methods of scientific research, knowledge of ways and approaches to the organization of scientific research, the place of international political research in the social sciences and their relationship with interdisciplinary research, basic skills and implementation of scientific research, the ability to identify a scientific problem, the subject of research, to build scientific hypotheses.

2. Methodology, techniques and methods of scientific research
3. Leading methodological concepts of the XX-XXI centuries.
4. The concept and types of intellectual property rights.
5. Copyright and related rights.
6. Intellectual property rights to inventions, utility models, industrial designs and other intellectual property objects.
7. Features of the methodology of scientific research of international relations. Some methods of studying international relations
8. Features and typology of methodological approaches and research methods in the field of international communications
9. Methodology of writing a scientific papers
10. Modern methods of teaching special subjects in higher education. Development of educational and methodical complex for disciplines in international communications.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral answers, comments, blitz poll, discussion, problems – up to 30 points.
2. Tasks for individual work (case study presentation) – up to 50 points.
