Learning outcomes
Apply modern scientific approaches, methodologies and techniques to study the problems of international relations and foreign policy. Formulate modeling tasks, create and research models of objects and processes of international relations, foreign policy, public communications and regional studies. Prepare analytical reports, reports and other documents on the state of international relations, foreign policy, public communications and regional studies. Develop and implement applied research projects in international relations, foreign and world policy. To plan and carry out research of problems of international relations, public communications and regional studies with the use of modern scientific methods, to collect and analyze the necessary information, to argue conclusions, to present results.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know about: basics of modern information systems and technologies, mathematical bases of information technologies, system methods of research of international relations. Be able to: formulate the goals and objectives of the study, collect the necessary information about events in the country and in the world, to determine the key message, the target audience. Have basic skills: working with a computer, preparing presentations, literacy, formulation and logical presentation of one's own opinion.
Course content
Topic 1. Modeling and forecasting in the study of international relations. Topic 2. Comprehensive analytical modeling of socio-political and economic processes. Topic 3. "International Futures" global integrated model. forecasting the future.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of activity and participation in discussions, quality of participation and response during group presentations, quality of written work, surveys at seminars, presentation of research projects with justification of methods.
