Learning outcomes
Acquaintance of students with the specifics of the national and international media market, standards of ethical media communication with target audiences. Know the basics of international relations and world politics, the basics of public relations, the basics of communication theory, the theory and practice of international journalism, and professional standards. Be able to determine the object and purpose of communication, choose channels and tools for conveying information and methods of receiving feedback.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
- knowledge of the functions and principles of public relations in the media, subject, object, subject of PR communications for the media; - the ability to study, analyze, determine, evaluate and forecast political, diplomatic, security, social and other risks in the field of international relations and global development, evaluate and apply software to solve current problems; - skills to make decisions about the use of communication technologies for PR support of mass media activities.
Course content
Introduction Topic 1. The role of PR campaigns in the media PR activity system. Algorithm of PR campaigns of media market participants. Topic 2. Target audience of media PR campaigns and work with it. Work with sponsors Credit modular work 1. Topic 3. Varieties of the media's own PR campaigns. Media promotion technologies as a market participant. Topic 4. International and national media market: market participants and their interests. Ethics of media PR communications. Credit modular work 2.

Assessment methods and criteria
1) defense of individual tasks; 2) modular tests. 3) test. Students can receive up to 20 points for individual work and writing module tasks. In practical classes, students perform practice-oriented tasks, which are assessed with a maximum of 10 points (threshold level of a positive assessment - 2 points). The content module includes all topics. Mandatory for the test is the performance of individual work provided for in the work program of the discipline.
