Programme learning outcomes
LLO 1. Communicate fluently on professional matters with specialists and non-specialists in both the national language and English, both orally and in writing, and use these skills to facilitate effective intercultural communication.
LLO 2. Work effectively with information: select necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases; critically analyze and interpret it; organize, classify, and systematize it.
LLO 3. Organize one’s own learning and self-education.
KLO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, and society.
KLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, and people with different political views, etc.
KLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and problems in professional practice. Monitor key manipulative themes of russian disinformation, identify, analyze, and apply various linguistic influence techniques, and, using the tools, strategies, and tactics of modern translation studies, ensure successful communication in various languages (Ukrainian and English), competently perform the main types of two-way Russian-Ukrainian written and oral translation of texts of various levels, genres, and styles.
LLO 7. Understand the main problems of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches of applied linguistics, language influence technologies, and translation.
LLO 8. Know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as the art of the word, the history of East Slavic languages, and the characteristics of the development of East Slavic literatures, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional practice.
LLO 9. Characterize the dialectal and social varieties of East Slavic languages, describe and analyze the sociolinguistic situation.
Learning Outcome 10. Know the norms of the literary languages being studied and be able to apply them in practical work.
