On the basis of professional mastery of competencies provided by the block of disciplines of professional orientation: the level of mastering the disciplines of the block of professional orientation with grades not less than 75 points, grade for industrial practice in the specialty not less than 75 points; as well as the defense of qualifying work with a score of at least 75 points
Programme learning outcomes
LO 1. To collect, process and analyse information in fields of geographical sciences. LO 2. To professionally use oral and written state language.LO 3. To demonstrate knowledge and communication skills in professional foreign language. LO 4. To use information technologies, cartographic and geoinformation models in fields of geographical sciences. LO 5. To show skills in field and laboratory research. LO 6. To outline main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the geosphere and its components. LO 7. To apply models, methods and data of natural and human sciences, information technologies etc. to investigations of formation and development of objects and processes in the geosphere. LO 8. To use field and laboratory methods in analysing objects and systems in natural and human geography. LO 9. To perform studies of the geosphere and its components using quantitative and qualitative analytical methods. LO 10. To analyse composition and structure of natural and human-geographic objects and systems (according to speciality) at various spatio-temporal levels. LO 11. To arrange and generalize data of field and laboratory investigations, integrate them from monitoring to identification, synthesis and modelling. LO 12. Examination regulations and grading scale
The final evaluation of learning outcomes at the University is carried out on a single 100-point scale. The assessment of the learner corresponds to the ratio of the level of professional and general competencies established in the assessment to the planned learning outcomes (as a percentage). The minimum positive level of evaluation is 60 points. According to the results of exams, according to the results of course and diploma works (projects); according to the results of work in practice, the student is given points on the following scale: "Excellent" 90 - 100%; "Good" 75 - 89%; "Satisfactory" 60 - 74%; "Unsatisfactory" 0 - 59%. If the final exam is not conducted in the disciplines, the results of the applicant's work are evaluated on a scale: "Enrolled" 60 - 100% or "Not credited" 0 - 59%.

Work placement
Industrial practice with a break from theoretical training (6 weeks). Assistant practice without separation from theoretical training (8 weeks)
Work-based learning
Student-centered problem-oriented learning, conducted in the form of lectures, seminars, practical classes, independent work on the basis of textbooks, textbooks and abstracts, consultations with teachers, teaching and industrial practices, master's thesis in the last year of study.
