Professional qualification is awarded on the basis of professional mastery of competencies provided by the blocks of specialized disciplines and compliance with the minimum necessary criteria, namely: level of mastery of disciplines of the block of specialized disciplines with scores of at least 75 points, exam in geophysics not less than 75 points, as well as the defense of qualifying work with a score of not less than 75 points
Programme learning outcomes
- Analyze the features of natural and anthropogenic systems and objects of Earth's geospheres - Apply their knowledge to identify and solve challenging issues and to make valid decisions on geosciences - Be able to communicate with specialists and experts of different qualification of other fields of knowledge, including in the international context - Develop and manage projects in geosciences, evaluate and provide quality of work - Plan and carry out scientific experiments, write research papers in a specialty - Be able to provide an environmental assessment, audit, licensing, certification of natural resources, to predict the development of environmental, technical,economic and social consequences on individual objects of nature management - Be acquainted with modern methods of Earth&apos and its geospheres research and be able to use them in industrial and scientific activities and be able to use geophysical studies to investigate the upper part of the Earth&apos crust and its sedimentary layer - Know the basic principles of enterprise management of natural resources sphere, their organization, production and organizational management structure - Develop and implement mechanisms of territorial management, geoplain, monitoring regional development, make plans and programs - Demonstrate the ability to adapt to new work-related conditions, the ability to generate new ideas in the field of geoscience, in particular in the field of geophysical research - Apply educational technologies and teaching methods of geoscience disciplines in education institutions - Model geosphere objects and processes using cartographic and mathematical methods and GT - Identify and categorize known objects and register new one in geospheres - Demonstrate the ability to carry out independent geophysical studies of natural objects and processes in geospheres in field and laboratory conditions

Examination regulations and grading scale
The final evaluation of learning outcomes at the University is carried out on a single 100-point scale. The assessment of the applicant corresponds to the ratio established of the level of professional and general competencies to the planned learning outcomes (as a percentage). The minimum positive level of assessment is 60 points. According to the results of exams, according to the results of course and diploma works (projects); based on the results of work in practice, the student is also graded on a four-point scale: “Excellent” (90 – 100%), “Good” (75 – 89%), “Satisfactory” (60 – 74%), “Unsatisfactory” (0 – 59%). If the final exam is not conducted in the disciplines, the results of the applicant’s work are evaluated on a 2-point scale: “Passed” (60 – 100%) or “Fail” (0 – 59%).

Work placement
Passing of the teaching practice three weeks long, the pre-graduation practical training practice in the specialty at the enterprise at least 5 weeks long, the research workshop in the specialty at least 6 weeks long in total, specialized subjects in English.
