Preparation of a master's degree in specialty 103 - Earth Sciences at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is an educational and scientific level of higher education, which requires the student (Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", 2014) to conduct their own research, the results of which have scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance. Relevant research is provided as part of the educational process of the educational and scientific program in the form of a master's degree.

Full-time form

According to the standard of higher education in specialty 103 (Draft standard of higher education in specialty 103 Earth Sciences at the educational level of master, 2017) the master's thesis should include analysis of literary sources and results of independent creative work of students with material obtained and processed by him personally.

Master's thesis is an independent, creative research work, which is the final stage of training for the ONP master's degree, and is performed for obtaining the appropriate qualification (educational, professional). Completing a master's thesis is a mandatory part of the educational process.

- approbation of the main results presented in the master's thesis;  interim reporting on the results of work performed;  verification of academic integrity for textual borrowing;  admission to the defense of the master's thesis based on the results of the final certification and preliminary consideration of the work at the Department of Geophysics;  defense of the master's thesis at the meeting of the examination commission of the department.

Ukrainian
