Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of geophysics, seismometry, mathematical processing of seismic data 2. Have the skills to work with a personal computer
Course content
The discipline program gradually considers technologies for creating a seismogeological model of deposits: data loading, binding, construction of velocity models, correlation of horizons and tracking of tectonic faults, creating a structural framework, calculating attributes and forecasting filtration capacity in wells. Direct and inverse problems of geophysics are solved in order to solve fundamental and applied research tasks, application of new information technologies and methods of computer interpretation of seismic data and construction of spatial geological and geophysical models.
Recommended or required reading and other learning resources/tools
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical classes and independent work of the student
Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and includes: practical work (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher), 8 independent work (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems without limiting tools and techniques for solving the problem) and conducting 3 written modular tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written exam
