Prerequisites and co-requisites
The program is based on the fact that learning English in the Free Economic Zone begins with
minimum sufficient level B1 according to CEFR and ends with a final oral examination focused on its requirements for the level of independent user (B1 + / Strong Threshold) at the end of the 2nd semester, and a final oral written examination based on its requirements according to its requirements CEFR at the end of the 7th semester
Course content
The discipline is a compulsory discipline designed to develop the ability to communicate in a foreign language and apply knowledge in
practical situations. Realization of the purpose of discipline "Foreign language (English)" is result of complex interaction of four components:
1) English-language communicative competence involves the development of skills and abilities in
the main types of speech activities, including reception, production, interaction and mediation in both written and oral forms;
2) socio-cultural competence refers to the skills of application of the population
sociolinguistic, regional and intercultural knowledge to achieve understanding between representatives of different societies;
3) pragmatic competence is related to functional use
linguistic means;
4) professionally oriented communicative competence is a skill
use students' professional skills and knowledge to solve general professional problems in English.
