Learning outcomes
To know: the mechanisms of transformation of international economic relations at different stages of development of the world economy; historical origins of existing social and economic disparities, the modern geoeconomic structure of the world; causes and consequences of a set of national, regional and global socio-economic factors, phenomena and processes that affect the economic development of countries and regions and transform international economic relations from ancient times to the present. To be able to: analyze existing socio-economic problems of national development; to carry out complex research based on the holistic systemic scientific worldview; identify general and specific features in the development of historical phenomena by using concepts and terms taking into account the peculiarities of the historical context, which will contribute to the acquisition of unique skills in impartial assessment of the realities and prospects of international economic relations.

Possession of general knowledge of the patterns of historical development; ability to use general and specific, economic and historical methods of cognition.
Course content
Module I. "Exchange and trade from ancient civilizations to the Middle Ages". Historical context of the emergence of the system of international economic relations. International trade of antiquity. International economic relations of the Middle Ages. Module II. "International economic relations of industrial civilization and in the period of disintegration of the world economy". International trade, monetary and financial relations in the process of transition from feudalism to capitalism. The Industrial Revolution in Historical Retrospect. History of economic policy in the context of the formation of the international division of labor: instruments of influence on various forms of international economic relations in the XIX-XX centuries. International monetary relations in the context of world currency stratification. International economic relations in the period of disintegration of the world economy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment is carried out in the form of testing knowledge and skills: 1. During the answer at the seminar (participation in the discussion); 2. In the form of testing on the e-learning platform; 3. In the form of discussion of the results of scientific research on topics that contribute to the achievement of educational goals; 4. In the form of writing scientific essays in the direction specified in the list of test tasks in the case of: 1) lack of oral answer during the seminar; 2) absence at the seminar for justified reasons, which is confirmed by the relevant certificates. 5. In the form of a presentation based on the results of the analysis of one of the must-read books, which must be uploaded to the e-learning platform in a predetermined time.
