Successful completion of the course requires master’s students to have a solid grasp of the methodology for teaching the (Turkish) in secondary schools, a solid understanding of the educational landscape in Ukraine, and proficiency in Turkish at a level sufficient to meet communicative needs and analyze information regarding Turkish language teaching methodologies in Turkey
Course content
The course “Methods of Teaching Turkish in Higher Education” is an elective course designed to train Turkish language instructors, encourage research and methodological activities among master’s students, and enhance the quality of teacher education. The course aims to develop students’ theoretical approaches to teaching methodology as a branch of pedagogical science, the implementation of modern principles for organizing the foreign language learning process, the patterns and characteristics of foreign language learning in higher education, as well as the goals, content, methods, and means of instruction; developing skills for conducting methodologically sound Turkish language classes, as well as methods, techniques, and means of teaching the language in higher education. The course “Methods of Teaching Turkish in Higher Education” is an important component of the educational and research program “Eastern Philology, Western European Languages, and Translation: Turkish Language and Literature”; level of higher education: second (3rd semester; total of 90 hours, including 30 hours of classroom instruction (10 hours of lectures, 20 hours of practical sessions) and 60 hours of independent study). The course program consists of 2 content modules in each semester. Instruction is conducted in the form of lectures and seminars. The course concludes with an exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: Module I: 1. Work in practical classes: 3 - 5 points. 2. Creative and research tasks: 9 - 15 points. 3. Module test №1: 6 - 10 points. Module II: 1. Work in practical classes: 3 - 5 points. 2. Creative and research tasks: 6 - 10 points. 3. Module test #2: 9 - 15 points. 4. Exam: 24/40 points.
