Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know:
1) the structure of philology and its theoretical foundations;
2) the dialectal and social varieties of the Crimean Tatar language;
3) the main periods in the development of Crimean Tatar literature, the evolution of literary movements, genres, and styles, leading figures, and literary phenomena;
4) trends in the development of the global literary process and Crimean Tatar literature.
Be able to:
1) apply knowledge of language as a specific sign system, its nature, functions, and levels in professional practice;
2) apply knowledge of the theory and history of the Crimean Tatar language in professional practice;
3) freely use specialized terminology to solve professional tasks;
4) conduct linguistic, literary, and specialized philological analysis of Crimean Tatar-language texts of various styles and genres;
5) perform Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar oral and written translation of texts in various styles
Course content
The program covers the subject matter and theoretical aspects of the courses included in the educational program “Crimean Tatar Language and Literature, English Language, and Translation.” The comprehensive professional examination is conducted to assess the professional knowledge, skills, and competencies of graduates who, during their studies, have attained the professional level necessary to pursue their future careers as philologists and specialists in Crimean Tatar Language and Literature.
The exam program consists of questions from courses in two thematic-disciplinary cycles, a translation task, and a conversation topic. Crimean Tatar Linguistics: history of the Crimean Tatar language, lexicology of the Crimean Tatar language, ethnocultural specificity of Crimean Tatar phraseology, syntax of the Crimean Tatar language, theoretical grammar of the Crimean Tatar language. Crimean Tatar Literature: Crimean Tatar folklore, medieval Crimean Tatar literature, modern Crimean Tatar literature, and a seminar on Crimean Tatar literature.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The structure of the ticket reflects the complex nature of the exam and consists of four tasks. The first two questions are aimed at assessing students' knowledge and are theoretical in nature: the first one is in the field of Crimean Tatar linguistics; the second one is in Crimean Tatar literature. The third task is of a practical nature - translation of a text from Ukrainian into Crimean Tatar - aimed at assessing students' ability to translate Crimean Tatar-language texts of various genres into Ukrainian. The fourth task, a conversational topic, is aimed at assessing students' ability to use the Crimean Tatar language flexibly and effectively in oral and written form to solve communicative tasks in various spheres of life.
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum number of points a graduate can earn is 100:
1. Theoretical question on Crimean Tatar linguistics: 15–25 points.
2. Test on Crimean Tatar literature: 15–25 points.
3. Written translation of a text from Ukrainian into Crimean Tatar: 15–25 points.
4. Oral discussion topic: 15–25 points.
