PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyse and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 12. Analyse language units, determine their interaction, and characterize linguistic phenomena and the underlying processes.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of courses: psycholinguistics, ethnolinguistics, sociolinguistics, communicative linguistics. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of introduction to linguistics and practical rhetoric. 3. Possession of elements of the methodology of linguistic text analysis, skills of systematization of linguistic facts and units. 4. Ability to research individual components of a communicative situation and systematize textual typologies.
Course content
The discipline "Manipulative Technologies in Business Text" belongs to the disciplines of the elective block "Business Linguistics" of the program "Ukrainian and English: Translation and Editing". The course is aimed at deepening knowledge of marketing communications; systematization of such basic communication units as "marketing discourse" and "marketing text". Particular attention is paid to the development of knowledge about the techniques and methods of manipulative technologies used in modern business texts.

Learning activities during the semester: oral responses, presentations, and a learning project.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods and criteria The semester final grade is formed by the points received by the student during the semester and the points received at the exam, with the maximum distribution carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam). During the semester, practical classes are held on the relevant topics, where students are assessed according to the type of work and form of control. Students who score a total of less than the critical-calculated minimum of 36 points are not allowed to take the exam. The total maximum number of points per semester is 60. The final evaluation is conducted in the form of a comprehensive exam: the maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points (positive grade) that are added to the semester points is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the exam);
