            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            The student must know: the subject, purpose, objectives, social pedagogy; theory of social pedagogy as a science and practice.
The student must be able to: work in a group, rationally use time, clearly distribute assignments in order to obtain maximum results; navigate the search engines of global computer networks, choosing terms for query formulation and search strategy; to choose information resources according to the developed or specified criteria; critically analyze the information received, highlight the most important; to correlate and systematize the acquired knowledge and practical experience in the studied discipline.
The student must have basic skills: regulators of behavior and behavior in a group of young professionals.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The purpose of the discipline -. acquainting students with the retrospective formation and development of social education systems for people of all ages and social assistance to those in need, from ancient times to the present day; the main stages of the emergence, formation and evolution of social pedagogy from forms of charity and elements of socio-pedagogical research to professional activities and a particular field of knowledge; periodization of the history of social pedagogy; establishing ways to integrate social pedagogy and social work; formation of a critical attitude to the socio-pedagogical heritage of the past. substantiation of the most rational ways of further development of systems of social education and social protection of the population in Ukraine.

            Lecture, seminar, tasks for Individual student work.
Test, discussion, practical (individual and group) tasks, modular test.
        
    
            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            Creative and reproductive tasks - 20 points. Work and seminars - 20 points. Modular test - 20 points. Credit - 40 points.
The test is passed based on the results of the student's work during the semester. To pass the test it is obligatory to complete modular tests and obtain a total of at least 60 scores.
