Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of the disciplines: "Chinese language", "History of foreign literature (classical literatures of the East)", "Linguistic and Country Sstudies", "Chinese Theater as a Translator of Culture", "Chinese Film Space as an Object of Linguoculturology", etc.; 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies) and cultural studies; 3) possession of the practice of translating a Chinese-language text, skills in literary and cultural analysis of original works.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline "Translation in the field of culture and arts" is to attract students-orientalists to the literary and aesthetic values of the East; to create a basis for students to understand the goals and objectives of translation as a type of interlingual mediation, the main features of translation as a type of speech activity; to acquaint students with the existing types of translation and their features, with the most important methods and methods of translation in the field of culture and art; to form their ability to perform preparatory analysis of the text, segment the text into translation units, analyze the results of translation from the point of view of adequacy, edit the text of the translation taking into account the errors found, as well as the ability to use different types of dictionaries and reference materials to perform high-quality translation of works of art. The discipline belongs to the selective block "Chinese Studies: Linguocultural Studies and Translation".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of organization of training: practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: the answer to the practical lesson, the report-analysis of scientific literature and lexicographic sources, the test work with open answers, project work with Internet resources, the final test work (modular work). Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; As a result: in the maximum dimension of 100 points, in the minimum dimension 60 points. The discipline ends with a getting the credit, which is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures. Evaluation criteria are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
