Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Successful mastering of the courses: Chinese language, Translation studies, Theory and practice of Chinese translation, Fundamentals of practice of Chinese translation, etc.;
2) Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of linguistics, translation studies, linguo-regional studies, cultural studies;
3) Possession of the practice of translating a Chinese-language text, skills in analyzing original works;
4) Ability to apply theoretical skills of intercultural communication in the practical plane, as well as skills of translation of scientific speech.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to reveal the features of intercultural communication in the Chinese-speaking space, to prepare students to study materials in the field of intercultural ethics, as well as to provide oriental students with special and in-depth practical skills of intercultural communication. Within the discipline, 2 thematic parts are determined: Module 1. Intercultural communication in professional activities; Module 2. Cross-cultural barriers. The discipline belongs to the selective block "Chinese Studies: Linguocultural Studies and Translation".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of organization of training: lectures and seminars conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: the answer at the seminar lesson, tests with open answers, final tests. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; As a result: in the maximum dimension of 100 points, in the minimum dimension 60 points. The discipline ends with a getting the credit, which is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures. Evaluation criteria are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
