Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of disciplines "Fundamentials of translation practice", "Translation practice", "Fundamentialsof translation theory (by language)", "Eastern language: advanced level", etc.;
2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies), culturology, history and geography of China;
3) mastery of skills of lexical, grammatical and stylistic analysis of original works.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to develop and improve students' language and translation competence in accordance with their profession, to achieve future specialists such a level of translation competence that will enable them to professionally carry out translation activities in various types of translation in oral and written forms from Ukrainian to Chinese. The discipline "Ukrainian-Eastern Translation" (Part 3) is one of the obligatory components of the complex discipline "Translation Practice", which logically continues the disciplines "Basics of Translation Practice" (Part 1) and "Translation Practice (Eastern Language)" (Part 2).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of training: practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and individual work. The main types of activities and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: answers during practical classes, individual tasks (written translation of the text), modue tests. Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom activities and for individual work. The minimum score for the semester is 36 points, while the maximum score equals 60. Final assessment: exam. The exam is conducted in the form of written work, the exam ticket consists of two practical tasks, each of which is evaluated with a maximum of 20 points. Criteria for semester and exam assessment are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
