Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of disciplines "Fundamentals of translation practice", "Fundamentals of translation theory (by language)", "Eastern language: intermediate level", etc .; 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies), culturology, history and geography of China; 3) mastery of skills of lexical, grammatical and stylistic analysis of original works.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is the development and improvement of students' language and translation competence in accordance with their profession, the achievement of future specialists such a level of translation competence, which will provide them with the opportunity to professional translation activities in various types of translation in oral and written forms.The discipline "Translation Practice (Eastern Language)" (Part 2) is one of the obligatiry components of the complex discipline "Translation Practice", which logically continues the discipline "Basics of Translation Practice" (Part 1) and continues with the discipline "Ukrainian-Eastern Translation" (Part 3). In practice, the principles and methods of translation from Chinese into Ukrainian and vice versa are mastered.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of training: practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and individual work. The main types of activities and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom activities, answers during practical classes, surveys of lexical and phraseological material, modular tests with open answers. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom activities and for individual work. The minimum score for the semester is 60 points, while the maximum score equals 100. The course ends with a final test. A "pass" is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment activities. Criteria for semester assessment are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
