Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of Translation Practice", "Practice of Chinese Language Translation", "Fundamentals of Chinese Translation Theory", etc.;
2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies), cultural studies, history and geography of China;
3) mastering the skills of lexical-grammatical and stylistic analysis of original works.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is the development and improvement of students' language and translation competence in accordance with their profession, the achievement by future specialists of such a level of translation competence that will provide them with the opportunity to professionally carry out translation activities in various types of translation in written form from the Chinese language into Ukrainian. In practice, the students learn the principles and methods of translation, the formation of a comprehensive system of knowledge and practical skills of translation from the Chinese language into Ukrainian takes place.
The educational discipline is one of the components of comprehensive training in the specialty "Philology (Oriental languages and literatures (including translation))" under the program "Chinese language and literature and translation, English language", selective block "Chinese studies: linguistic and cultural studies and translation". Teaching and assessment languages: Ukrainian, Chinese.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of training organization: practical classes conducted using interactive learning methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom work, answers in a practical lesson, modular control works with open answers. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, theoretical training, which makes up 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which makes up 60% of the total grade. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; in the end: in the maximum dimension 60 points, in the minimum dimension 36 points. The discipline ends with an exam. Evaluation criteria are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
