Learning outcomes
PR02. Determine the qualitative and quantitative composition of substances and their mixtures. Demonstrate the use of knowledge about morphological changes of tissues and organs to diagnose pathological conditions, identify erroneous results and take measures to correct them. PR07. Verify the results of laboratory tests for the diagnosis of childhood diseases (norm / pathology). PR12. Perform general clinical, hematological studies, interpret the results taking into account normal and critical values, limitations of the research method, clinical and other laboratory parameters, detection of implausible results.

Ability to apply knowledge and skills acquired during the mastery of clinical chemistry, immunology, clinical laboratory diagnostics, know the basics of modern methods of laboratory research, search and analysis of scientific literature. Possession of basic principles of laboratory research methods.
Course content
The subject of study of the discipline "Enzymodiagnostics" methods of diagnosis of diseases, pathologies and processes based on indicators of enzyme activity in biological fluids. Their applications for the recognition of congenital enzymopathies, characterized by specific disorders of metabolism and vital functions due to the absence or deficiency of a particular enzyme. Attention is paid to the diagnosis of damage to cells of organs and tissues by the phenomenon of hyperenzymemia, as well as the distribution of individual isoenzymes in tissues. The diagnostic value of enzyme tests is analyzed, which depends on the specificity of this type of hyperenzymemia for certain diseases and the degree of sensitivity of the test. The reliability of enzyme diagnostics in the study of several isoenzymes in individual diseases and the possibility of predicting the course of the disease are discussed.
