Learning outcomes
PLR 2. To work with information effectively: to select necessary information from different sources, in particular from professional literature and electronic bases; to analyze and interpret it critically; to arrange it and make proper classification and systematization. PLR 3. To organize the process of learning and self-education. PLR 4. To understand fundamental principles of human existence and nature in the contemporary scientific picture of the world, as well as fundamental principles of society with the aim of realization man’s rights and duties as a member of society, awareness of the rule of law, human rights and freedoms and rights and freedoms of a citizen of Ukraine. PLR 5. To cooperate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, proponents of different political views etc.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student should know: - to have knowledge, skills and abilities in the disciplines of the social and humanitarian cycle, such as: "Introduction to university studies" and others. - the main categories and concepts related to the life activity of a person and society. be able to: - identify, analyze educational and scientific information, make reasonable conclusions on issues of professional activity. have basic skills: - drafting written documents, correcting their content, systematizing materials necessary for work, effective organization of one's own educational activities.
Course content
The course "Selected articles of the labor law and entrepreneurship fundamentals" is a component of the professional training of specialists of the educational level "Bachelor" in all educational programs of the Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and is taught in the 6th (7th / 8th) semester - in accordance with the curriculum of a specific educational program. The constitutional principles of the realization of the right to work and its main forms are revealed. Students study the legal norms that regulate the procedure for concluding, changing and terminating employment contract as the main form of realization of the right to work. Legal principles of establishment and regulation of basic working conditions are outlined: working time and rest time; salaries; labor protection, labor discipline. The procedure of bringing the employee to legal liability for non-performance or improper performance of their work duties (disciplinary responsibility, material responsibility) is revealed. The legal basis for the protection of labor rights in Ukraine is analyzed. The discipline forms students' economic, institutional and organizational foundations of their entrepreneurial activity and is aimed at mastering students' knowledge and basic practical skills about the economic nature of entrepreneurship, its form and planning; innovative entrepreneurship; technologies for creating one's own business; state regulation of entrepreneurship; commercialization of scientific developments.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning activities: lectures, seminars, individual consultations, independent work of students. Teaching methods: explanatory and illustrative method, method of problem-based learning (problem lecture), heuristic method, analysis and solution of problem situations, educational discussion, preparation of essays and presentations.
Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment: blitz survey, presentations, additions, discussion of problematic issues, essay writing, preparation of presentations, situational exercises. Final assessment - credit. Evaluation criteria for each form of control are given in the course program
