Learning outcomes
PLO. 02. To collect information about the general condition of patient, to assess the psychomotor and physical development of patient, the state of organs and systems of the body, based on the results of laboratory and instrumental studies, to evaluate information about the diagnosis PLO. 03. To prescribe and analyse additional (obligatory and complementary) methods of examination (laboratory, imaging, functional and/or instrumental), patients with pathologies of organs and systems of organs for providing differential diagnosis PLO. 04. To establish clinical diagnosis by taking solution and logic analysis of the obtained subjective and objective data of clinical examination, conducting the differential diagnosis in reliance on the ethical and legal norms under surveillance of the chief doctor in the hospital PLO. 06. To determine the type and principles of patient treatment (conservative, surgical) in the hospital

The ability to independently apply knowledge of medical biology, medical and biological physics, medical informatics, medical chemistry, bioorganic and biological chemistry, human anatomy, histology, cytology and embryology, physiology, microbiology, virology and immunology, life safety, fundamentals of bioethics and biosafety, pathomorphology, physiopathology, pharmacology, and other disciplines for the solution of specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and methodological literature. 3.Owning elementary skills of system analysis.
Course content
The subject of the discipline also involves the issues of etiology, diagnosis, treatment, epidemiology and prevention of tropical diseases. The prevalence of infectious tropical diseases in the tropical and subtropical zones is due to a set of favorable natural conditions. Only in hot climates there can be a lot of thermophilic pathogens (certain bacteria, viruses, protozoa, helminths), their alternate hosts (e.g. tropical mollusks "Bullinus tropicalis", "Physopsis africana" in schistosomiasis), carriers of pathogens (such as tsetse flies, tropical mosquitoes, etc.) and warm-blooded hosts, which are sources and reservoirs of pathogens (e.g. natal multimammate mouse, also known as Mastomys natalensis, that is a natural source of Lassa fever; fruit bat - a natural reservoir of disease caused by the Ebola virus, etc.)
