Learning outcomes
1. To collect information about the general condition of the patient, to evaluate the psychomotor and physical development of the patient, the state of organs and systems of the body, on the basis of the results of laboratory and instrumental studies to evaluate information about the diagnosis. 2. Assign and analyse additional (mandatory and optional) examination methods (laboratory, radiological, functional and / or instrumental), patients with organ and systemic diseases for differential diagnosis of diseases. 3. Analyse and evaluate state, social and medical information using standardised approaches and computer information technology.

1. Successful mastering of fundamental academic disciplines. 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of medical biology, medical and biological physics, medical informatics, medical chemistry, biological and bioorganic chemistry, human anatomy, histology, cytology and embryology, physiology, microbiology, virology and immunology, life safety; basics of bioethics and biosafety, pathomorphology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, propaedeutics of internal medicine, etc. disciplines for solving specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientificmethodical literature. 3. Possession of basic skills of systems analysis.
Course content
The selective discipline that covers the study of both laboratory and instrumental methods of examination and their effectiveness, adequacy of the volume and content of methods for diagnosing the effectiveness of rehabilitation therapy in elder patients. Academic discipline "Current issues of laboratory and instrumental diagnostics in the clinic of internal medicine in the elderly" teaches students methods of clinical, laboratory, functional examination of a person in a state of health or pathology, to assess the impact of health, preventive, therapeutic, rehabilitation measures and their effectiveness, determining the adequacy of the volume and content of methods for diagnosis, effectiveness of recreation, rehabilitation etc
