Learning outcomes
LO 3. To identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of social work, to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical experience. LO 11. To use prevent methods for deviations in mental development, behavioral disorders, interpersonal relationships breakdown, for conflict resolution, for prevention of social risks and difficult life circumstances. LO 13. To use methods of social diagnostics in the evaluation process of problems, needs, peculiarities and client’s resources. LO22. Demonstrate the ability to creatively solve problems and make innovative decisions, think and apply creative abilities to form fundamentally new ideas.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful completion of the course "Art therapy in social pedagogy" requires students to have knowledge of the theory and history of socio-pedagogical work. 2) knowledge of a set of forms, methods and techniques used in the field of social work; mastering by students a certain system of theoretical knowledge and practical abilities and skills necessary for a social pedagogue. 3) the ability to master methodological aspects of the experience of socio-pedagogical work.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to acquaint students with the basics of art therapy, with methodical and diagnostic principles of art therapy work with different categories of clients. Mastering this course will allow future social pedagogues to gain knowledge, skills and abilities to form readiness to use art-therapeutic techniques in professional social-pedagogical activities. At the current stage of society's development, social work is considered as an integrated, universal type of activity aimed at satisfying socially guaranteed and personal interests and needs of people. The discipline "Art therapy in social pedagogy" reveals the concept and history of the emergence of art therapy; structure and functions of art therapy; types and forms of art therapy and the specifics of art therapy application in working with different categories of clients. An important place in the course "Art therapy in social pedagogy" is given to the acquisition of practical skills in the professional activity of a social pedagogue.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: 1. Oral answers (speech at the seminar, participation in discussions and debates, additions): 28/17 points 2. Analytical report: 28/17 points 3. Creative independent work: 24/14 points 4. Final control work: 20/12 points. Final assessment: credit. The test is based on the results of the student's work during the semester (the maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100) and does not provide additional assessment activities for successful students. Students who scored less than 60 points during the semester, but more than the critical minimum of 36 points, are credited. The test is conducted in the form of an oral survey on the subject of the course and the performance of a creative individual task, which is estimated at 24 points. Evaluation scheme: - Credited (60-100 points) - Not credited (0-59 points)
