Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: subject, tasks, theoretical and methodological foundations of cultural studies; anthropic foundations of culture, factors of its permanent development, changes and innovations; stages of cultural and historical development of the personality, the phenomena of modern multiculturalism are characterized.
To be able to: independently search for and analyze culturological primary sources, explain the conditions for the formation and development of modern cultures, the variability of different types of ethnic groups, which arise from the specificity of the interrelationship of cultural, worldview, social, material and economic factors.
To possess: skills of working with scientific and cultural literature.
Course content
The purpose of the curriculum is to form a holistic view of culture as a result and a space for self-realization of the individual, an understanding of the development of modern cultural processes, the patterns of its historical transformations, the continuity of the spiritual progress of mankind, instilling the ability to independently analyze cultural phenomena, work with relevant theoretical sources and a conceptual and categorical apparatus.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Creative and reproductive tasks for independent work - up to 5 points for each
2. Preparation of reports and abstracts - up to 10 points for each
3. Modular test - up to 15 points
- final evaluation in the form of an test - up to 40 points
Based on the results of the work during the semester, the student receives a final grade on a 100-point system, which is calculated as the accumulation of grades for the module in the semester and grades for the test.
The number of points:
1-34 corresponds to the grade "unsatisfactory" with the obligatory re-study of the discipline;
35-59 corresponds to the assessment of "unsatisfactory" with the possibility of re-assembly;
60-64 corresponds to the assessment "satisfactory" ("sufficient");
65-74 corresponds to the assessment "satisfactory";
75 - 84 corresponds to the assessment of "good";
85 - 90 corresponds to the assessment "good" ("very good");
91 - 100 corresponds to the rating "excellent"
