The discipline provides for the formation of professional skills in the implementation of social work with children who are on the street. The two main client categories studied by students in the course are homeless children and children left without care.
Students master the peculiarities of each of the groups, the reasons that could lead to the phenomenon of child neglect, and study the Ukrainian and global experience of providing assistance to such children.
Particular attention is paid to studying the activities of services that protect children's rights, in particular, services for children, social service centers, children's shelters, centers for social and psychological rehabilitation of children.
Also, during the course, students get acquainted with the tools of mobile social work, and in the training environment acquire the skills to implement them. This is ensured through the training development of a program of mobile social work with children.
