Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Know the essence of the main categories of social pedagogy; content and structure of socio-pedagogical activity. 2) To be able to apply forms, methods and technologies of socio-pedagogical activity. 3) Possess elementary skills of analysis, assessment of client needs and specifics of socio-pedagogical work with various target categories of clients.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to reveal the theoretical and methodological foundations of social pedagogy, as well as the formation of a holistic vision of the content, directions and spheres of professional activity of a social pedagogue. The discipline contains three substantive parts. In part 1, the theoretical and methodological foundations of social pedagogy and socio-pedagogical activity are disclosed. Part 2 is devoted to the study of the content of the professional activity of a social pedagogue. Part 3 characterizes the content and features of socio-pedagogical work as a field of practical activity with various client groups and in various social institutions.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, practical class, individual work
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods: recitations (speeches at the seminar, participation in discussions and debates, additional remarks), analysis of primary sources, presentations, practical tasks, modular control work, final control work. Form of final control – exam. The exam is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester. Students who scored from 36 to 60 points based on the results of their work during the semester are admitted to the exam. For students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points - in order to be admitted to the exam, it is mandatory to complete modular control tasks, practical tasks and tasks for independent work. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 24 points. Rating scale: - excellent (90-100 points) - good (75-89 points) - satisfactory (60-74 points) - unsatisfactory (1-59 points)
