PR03. Understand the basic concepts, theoretical and practical problems in branches of natural sciences needed for analysis and decision making in in the field of ecology, environmental protection and optimal nature management. PR06. Identify the factors that determine the formation of landscape-biological diversity. PR22. Participate in the development of projects and practical recommendations on environmental protection with the involvement of the public. PR23. Demonstrate environmental implementation skills activities and projects

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the course "Plant Ecology" and "General Ecology and Nature Protection", "Plant Ecology". Have basic skills: work with herbarium material and field samples of plants, use of plant identifiers, work with equipment for field research, compliance with safety and health rules in the laboratory and in the field (successful training in plant ecology).
Course content
The discipline concerns the superspecific level of organization of flora as an object of ecologists, and is designed to form an idea of the organization of vegetation in the form of a system of plant communities, patterns of organization and development, structure and functioning, ecological and systemic relationships of plant communities in natural complexes , on the diversity of plant communities in Ukraine, as well as on methods and applied aspects of phytocenological research.

Semester assessment: 1. Modular test 1: PH - 1.1-3.1 (block of topics of Section 1) - 30 points / 15 points. 2. Modular test work 2: PH - 1.1-3.1 (block of topics of Section 2) - 30 points / 15 points. 3. Practical works: RN - 1.1-3.1 - 26 points / 13 points. 4. Independent work: RN - 1.1-3.1 - 14 points / 7 points. Final assessment: in the form of a credit
