Learning outcomes
To know: theoretical and methodological foundations theories of social choice, political management in the public sphere; theoretical and methodological foundations of social development, democracy Be able to: explain research methods in social sciences according to the theory social development; diagnose problems of public administration and social development; search, process, analyze information about society and political administration autonomy and responsibility: demonstrate an understanding of personal responsibility for professional and/or managerial decisions or provided proposals/recommendations that may affect social development and political management in the public sphere, in particular during - Justification of the need for changes in organization, in a group/collective/team and on a personal level - Justification of the results of research on social development and political management in the public sphere

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites and additional requirements 1. To know: the theoretical foundations of the functioning of political regimes, the theory of public choice, the theory of democracy. 2. Be able to search for information necessary and relevant to the analysis of political issues regimes, social orders and features of social choice; analyze modern concepts of economic development in the context of the implementation of their provisions in developed and developing countries; to analyze social orders and to develop and propose recommendations for the policy of economic development in a democratic state.- Possess the skills of analysis, synthesis, processing and visualization of statistical, sociological and other data, work with the legal framework, design and presentation of data using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).

Content of the educational program CONTENT MODULE 1 "Public choice, political regimes and the development of democracy" Topic 1. Subject and method of social theory of choice Topic 2. Political power and its institutions. Topic 3. Social choice in the conditions of direct and representative democracy. A model of economic democracy CONTENT MODULE 2 "Economic dimensions of democratic development" Topic 4. Political and economic regimes development Topic 5. Economic analysis and development democracy 12 Topic 6. Transition to democracy as a direction transformation of non-democratic regimes.

Assessment methods and criteria
Methods and criteria of assessment – semester assessment (MAX – 80 points / MIN – 48 points): 1. Performance of practical (seminar) classes - max. 35 points / min. 21 points 2. Control works - max. 20 points / min.12 points (two modular test papers 3. Independent work - max. 5 points / min. 3 points 4. Individual analytical work - mach. 20 points / min. 12 points. Final control is carried out in the form of a written test, which is evaluated at a maximum of 20 points and is conducted at one of the last practical classes in the discipline. The final grade for the discipline is assigned to the student based on the results of work during the semester as the sum of points received during the academic semester, including points received for independent work and final control work.
