Know the trends of human relations, its economic activity with nature, the current environmental situation in Ukraine and the world and the dynamics of their change, the causes of the global environmental crisis, the main sources of pollution, basic research methods of environmental factors, patterns, categories and concepts of environmental pollution and the principles of estimating its scale, the principles of organizing the technological process to minimize emissions, the principles of building environmentally friendly production schemes. Be able to plan and organize technological processes taking into account environmental protection, organize and control the implementation of environmental measures in production, use in practice modern methods of monitoring the assessment of the impact of harmful industries on the environment, solve environmental problems, create environmentally friendly technologies.

The discipline "Environmental Risk Management" is based on a combination of theoretical knowledge and applied aspects of environmental risk management. The theoretical part of the course involves the study of environmental, geological and geoecological risk factors; general ideas about the methodology of analysis and assessment of environmental risk; methods of risk assessment of different genesis. In the practical part the student learns quantitative and qualitative methods of risk assessment; gets acquainted with approaches and methods of decision-making in conditions of uncertainty; definition of criteria of admissible ecological risk with development of practical offers on maintenance of ecological safety on the basis of these criteria.

Lecture, individual work, practical classes

Final assessment - in the form of an exam. The final number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points), which is defined as the sum (simple or weighted) points for systematic work during the semester. The exam is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester. Thus, the final grade consists of the sum of the semester number of points and the final exam paper.
