Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To demonstrate an adequate level of national and foreign language mastery to perform written and spoken communication, namely in the situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their studies in the national and foreign language.
3. To implement the modern methods and techniques, namely informational, in order to perform a successful and effective professional activity and guarantee the quality of research in a specific philological field.
11. To perform a scholarly analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it considering expedient methodological principles, formulate summarizations based on the individually processed data.

Course content
The master's qualification thesis is a complex form of control and final certification for master's graduates, which involves conducting independent research in the field of translation studies with a mandatory analytical component. Preparation of the master's qualification work includes stages of selection and approval of the topic, consultations with the supervisor, collection of material, elaboration of sources and scientific theoretical and methodological and critical literature, drawing up a plan, writing a work, its appropriate execution and defense. Preparation of qualification thesis is designed to develop skills of research work, involving the choice of a scientific or practical problem, hypothesis formation, goals and objectives of the research, formulating generalizations and substantiation of own conclusions based on critical and analytical observations based on relevant classical and modern scientific concepts.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The master's qualification thesis execution presupposes 360 academic hours of independent work, as well as regular consultations with the supervisor. The qualification thesis is submitted to the attestation commission in writing according to the approved form along with other accompanying documents: a supervisor's review and reviewer's review. Public defense of the qualification work provides for an oral presentation of a scientific report using various forms of visualization.
Assessment methods and criteria
The general assessment for the master's qualification thesis is formed as a subtotal of three components of assessment: assessment of the supervisor of the master's thesis (10 points), assessment of the reviewer of the master's thesis (45 points) and assessment of the master's thesis defense (45 points). Scores are calculated according to the criteria specified in the relevant evaluation forms. The number of points depends on the degree of satisfaction with the requirements specified in the relevant criteria (maximum 2, 3 or 5 points depending on the criterion).
