Learning outcomes
PLO10. Analyze the composition and structure of the of the atmosphere and other geospheres in different spatial and temporal scales. PLO 14. Participate in the development of projects and practical recommendations in the in the field of earth sciences. IRP19. Demonstrate a commitment to preservation of the environment environment; demonstrate knowledge of of the principles of organization and functioning of the system monitoring of the atmosphere. PLO 22. Demonstrate the ability to preserve and increase moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society based on understanding history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and in the development of society, techniques and technologies, to use different types and forms of motor activity for active recreation and healthy lifestyle.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of courses in "Meteorology", "Atmospheric Chemistry", "Atmospheric Physics Atmospheric Physics", "Synoptic Meteorology", "Ecological Climatology". 2. Knowledge of theoretical foundations of chemistry, physics, physical geography, ability to establish cause and effect relationships between phenomena and processes occurring in the natural environment. 3. Knowledge of methods of synthesis and analysis of information.
Course content
The discipline is devoted to the study of applied aspects of atmospheric protection, including issues of anthropogenic impact on atmospheric air; basic principles of implementation of activities for the protection of the atmosphere, the activities of relevant international and national institutions; the use of modern technologies, including satellite technologies, including satellite sensing and atmospheric modeling, for to solve the problems of monitoring, risk management and mitigation of negative impact on the atmosphere. The discipline is designed to familiarize with the practical aspects of assessing hazardous impact from emissions from vehicles and industrial enterprises.
