Successful mastery of 1-3 year disciplines of the OP "Meteorology", namely, "Meteorology", "Atmospheric thermodynamics", "Topography with the basics of Geodesy", "Cartography", "General hydrology", "General and historical geology", "Soil and Soil Science with the basics of soil geography, Geomorphology and Paleogeography", "Climatology", "General Circulation of the Atmosphere", "Computer technologies and their application in meteorology, "Ecological climatology, Physics, Statistical methods of processing of meteorological data". Know: theoretical foundations of meteorology, hydrology; geology, earth science, topography, cartography, mathematics, physics, methods of processing and analysis of meteorological information. Be able to: collect initial data for research, select and analyze information and mapping sources, have basic practical skills of collecting, analyzing materials of hydrometeorological observations, methods of information processing

The course work on methods of processing and and analysis of meteorological information is an independent generalization of the results obtained by the student in the process of processing and analyzing information on climatic factors, information on the peculiarities of the formation and course of atmospheric processes and phenomena. Coursework is performed in subjects that are basic in specialty. The department develops and approves the topics of term papers in accordance with the content of a particular academic discipline. Writing a term paper involves: a) collection, systematization, processing, analysis and generalization of the results obtained in the in the field of meteorological information; b) development of independent work skills (development of data search skills in published sources, electronic databases of hydrometeorological organizations of the SES of Ukraine, etc.), critical evaluation, analysis and generalization; c) development of skills in describing the materials obtained in the process of generalization.
