PR04. Use information technologies, cartographic and geographic information models in the field of Earth sciences. PR07. Apply models, methods and data of physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, mathematics, information technology, etc. in the study of natural processes of formation and development of geospheres. PR08. Justify the choice and use field and laboratory methods to analyze natural and anthropogenic systems and objects.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines of the educational program "Meteorology" of the educational level of bachelor: "Higher Mathematics", ".Meteorology". 2. Be able to analyze the features of natural processes and build logical chains that describe them; 3. Know the basic mathematical operations and functions used to describe natural processes.
Course content
This discipline is dedicated to the study of the Python programming language. It is based on the Cisco Academy course "PCAP: Python Programming Fundamentals". The discipline will consist of two courses covering all the basics of Python programming, general concepts and methods of computer programming, as well as the object-oriented approach. Each course contains four modules that are studied over two semesters.

Assessment methods and criteria
There are 2 courses in the discipline, each of them includes 4 content modules. Classes are held in the form of lectures and laboratory work. The discipline ends with an exam. Semester evaluation: the number of points that a student receives during the semester is the sum of the points obtained in the evaluation of completed laboratory work, surveys and tests on individual content modules in the course "Python Programming Fundamentals" from Cisco Academy. Organization of evaluation: a survey in test form is conducted after the completion of each content module. Laboratory works are defended upon completion, according to the schedule of laboratory work.
