this academic discipline is dedicated the study of general information about the theoretical and applied aspects related to the concept "protected geographical indication" (PG). a basic level of knowledge about the system geographical indications of the EU, the development and current state of the system of geographical indications in Ukraine, as well as geospatial patterns of distribution of various types of traditional of productions and products of Ukraine and the world, due to the interpretation of the GZ as a designation which identifies the product as coming from the territory of a certain geographical location (country, region or locality on the territory of the country or other geographical object) and has a certain quality, reputation or characteristics
