PRN 1. To communicate freely in the Belarusian language, to use it for the organization of effective intercultural communication.

PRN 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the state and Belarusian languages.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses: Introduction to Linguistics, Graphics, spelling, orthoepy of the Belarusian language, Phonetics of the Belarusian language;
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, phonetics of the modern Ukrainian language, phonetics and spelling of the modern Belarusian language;
3. Possession of methods of phonetic analysis; basic skills of reading and listening to Belarusian-language texts, principles of search, collection, accumulation and other.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline - the formation of students' speech competencies (academic, socio-personal, professional) in the Belarusian language in the main types of communicative activities in the planned use of the language. The discipline is designed to provide students with knowledge about the Belarusian language as a living, developed, standardized, dynamic and open system and its national-specific features. The main task is to highlight the basics of normative grammar of the Belarusian language and students' mastery of thematic lexical and communicative cycles. Students will learn the basics of spelling, rules of word change, features of the syntactic structure of the Belarusian language, vocabulary of the most common thematic fields, will develop communication skills in typical communicative situations.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical classes, management of independent work and control over its implementation, individual consultations, pre-examination consultation, exam.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is carried out in accordance with the planned types of work and forms of control: the answer to the practical lesson / performance of current tasks (2/3 points), test with open and closed answers (3/5 points), writing texts while maintaining language standards (2 / 3 points), modular control work (2/5 points). During the semester written works are checked, individual consultations are held, the level of assimilation of the material submitted for independent processing is estimated. Content modules end with the writing of a modular test. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a comprehensive exam. The semester final grade is formed by the sum of points for all planned types of work, and the points obtained in the exam, the maximum distribution is carried out according to the algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam).
