Course content
The conceptual bases of company functioning, market relations and consumer behavior are disclosed. The production activity of economic subjects is analyzed taking into account consumer demand, income, preferences, utility, production theory and consumer choice theory. The following main topics are considered: behavior of economic actors and decision-making mechanism for limited resources and alternative uses of resources; theories of marginal utility and consumer behavior; demand, supply; microeconomic model of the enterprise; factor variation and optimum of the producer; production costs; markets of perfect and not perfect competition; general market equilibrium and welfare economy; Institutional aspects of market economy.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Information-innovative: lectures with the use of distance technologies, seminars, independent work, consultations, analysis of practical situations, performance and presentation of individual creative tasks, trainings: "Analysis and evaluation of the monopolization level of the goods market (based on analytical research of the confectionery market in Ukraine)"; "Microeconomic analysis of supply and demand on the goods market (based on statistical data on prices and volumes of supply and demand on a certain goods market)".
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: 60 points maximum / 36 points minimum 1. Test work on the content module 1: LO 1.1.— Max. 10 points / Min. 7 points. 2. Test work on the content module 2: LO 1.2, LO 2.1, LO 2.2 - Max. 10 points / Min. 6 points. 3. Presentation of research work: LO: 1.1, 2.1, 2.3, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3. - Max. 10 points / Min. 5 points. 4. Express control: LO1.1, LO 2.2, LO 4 - Max. 10 points / Min. 8 points Final assessment in the form of an exam.
