Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must: 1.Know: the basics of knowledge about the factors and consequences of the impact of traumatic events on a person; basics of social psychology, theory of functioning of social systems; theoretical foundations of the organization and provision of the client's rehabilitation process. 2.Be able to: analyze the content of key concepts of social work, generalize and correlate different conceptual approaches to the study of social phenomena, apply theoretical models in practical work; work both in individual and group forms of work with clients, rationally use time, clearly define the boundaries of one's professional activity in order to obtain the maximum result. Have elementary skills of communicative interaction with clients during activity planning, advisory support, evaluation of activity results.
Course content
The discipline considers modern approaches in understanding trauma and directions of work with trauma and consists of two parts: "Models of work with trauma" and "Social psychology of trauma and traumatic events". The first part contains three content modules that cover the following issues: the essence, natural, specific manifestations of psychological childhood injuries and their impact on a person's adult life; modern models of working with trauma; conditions for the formation of personality resilience. The second part also includes three modules and highlights the results of research in the social psychology of trauma and traumatic events, which reveal: key concepts, approaches to understanding trauma, its factors and consequences; features of collective injuries of various types, their impact on the personality-group-community-society system; socio-psychological resources of resilience, healing and post-traumatic development.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, guest lecture, seminars, workshops, tasks for independent student work. Survey, discussion, practical (individual and group) tasks, modular test, final control work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Student assessment is carried out during all types of classes and for independent work results. The minimum number of scores that can be scored per semester and required for admission to the exam – 36 scores, the maximum number of scores that a student can score for work during the semester – 60 scores (of which: survey, discussions – 10 scores (2-4 scores each); practical tasks – 10 scores (2-4 scores each); test – 10 scores; modular tests – 20 scores; self-assessment – 10 scores). Final assessment – exam (maximum – 40 scores, minimum – 24 scores). Grading scheme: -Excellent (90-100 scores) -Good (75-89 scores) -Satisfactory (60-74 scores) Fail (0-59 scores)
