Learning outcomes
PLO 4. Evaluate and critically analyze socially, personally and professionally significant problems and propose ways to solve them in complex and unpredictable conditions, which requires the use of new approaches and forecasting. PLO 7. Analyze, compare and classify different directions and schools in linguistics. PLO 9. Characterize theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, basic concepts, etc.) and applied aspects of Hindi philology. PLO 13. Explain the essence of specific philological issues, one's own point of view on them and its justification in an accessible and reasoned manner to both specialists and the general public, in particular to students. PLO 16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge from the field of Hindi philology to solve complex tasks and problems, which requires updating and integrating knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete/insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the courses "Hindi Language: Advanced Level", "Theoretical Grammar of Hindi", "Lexicology of Hindi", "Stylistics of Hindi", "Oral and Ancient Literature", "Medieval Hindi Literature". Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of linguistics and literary studies from the courses "Fundamentals of Linguistics", "Fundamentals of Literary Studies".
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to familiarize graduate students with the basic techniques and methods of modern linguistic and literary analysis of Eastern languages ​​and literature, which students need to write their master's thesis.

Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of mastering the material from the entire academic course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the processing of theoretical material in preparation for the classroom: oral answers, supplements, tests, presentation defense) and for independent work (preparation of a presentation). All types of work for the semester have a total of: -in the maximum dimension - 100 points, -in the minimum dimension - 60 points. In case of absence from a seminar class, the student must work out the assignment for the seminar. Final assessment: credit
